 Professional photographer John Hyde and Alaska Adventures Lodge of Katmai National Park and Preserve are offering a 2007 Photography Workshop.  John Hyde comes from the ranks of the finest nature photographers, naturalists, and workshop leaders in the profession and the industry is buzzing about his workshops in Alaska!.  Alaska is a wonderful backdrop for photographers and nature lovers.  In Aleut, Alaska means “The Great Country”, but in photography it means “incredible pictures!   We see that our photography workshops are set in a landscape of superlatives and like most photography workshops we emphasizes photography on location.  Travel to our Alaska and our Wildlife Photography Workshop!  We believe that photography is best learned in small groups, practiced in real situations, and experienced with other photographers fluent in the art.  Photography is capable of extreme subtlety and incredible beauty and our workshops are designed to uncover both.  Alaska Adventures photography workshop will have hands on field instruction and is planned to help improve and augment your skills in photographic techniques and composition. 

 The Alagnak River is one of those unique locations where all the elements seem to be just perfect.  Large population of eagle, brown bears young and old, salmon, and wolf are very common.  The location of our photography workshops are an amazing scenic venue that arouses both the souls and creativity of workshop participants.  John Hyde is eager to share his concern and sensitivity for environment and habitat preservation as well as his artistry of effective composition and habits of an active nature photographer.  Alaska Adventures guides goal is to provide these workshops with unique shooting opportunities, John’s is to help you become a better photographer, and our shared goal is to have a good time doing it.
